The light can be seen for over a mile at night.Not so much though in daylight.And I dare anyone to find someone who knows the Morse Code alphabet(military not included).This would be a nice feature if you could type in your message and have it "interpreted "and sent thru the app.as well as receive.
The shortened battery life would make it less useful than smoke signals
as a signaling device.
Fun phone for parties though!
